Why We Recycle Pallets, and You Should, Too!

Recycling is something that is becoming more and more common as the days, months, and even years go on. Being able to upcycle something into a functioning product that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill is a great motto to have. There are reasons why we recycle pallets, and these can apply to any of your pallets. There is a method behind the madness, and we suggest recycling whenever possible. Here are a few reasons why we recycle pallets, and why you should too!

Mulch

One of the many benefits of recycling our pallets is that we can turn them into mulch. This is a great way to make sure that we’re getting the most out of them and a great way to support and sell our wholesale mulch to local landscapers.

Environmentally Friendly

The main benefit of recycling pallets is that it is a great, environmentally friendly option. With wood being a natural, renewable resource, and many pallets being made entirely from wood, this is the reason why they should always be recycled. Recycling wood, including wood pallets, is also a great option due to the fact that wood is biodegradable.

DIY Pallet Projects

Thanks to almost everyone being at home, the year 2020 sparked a creativity surge of people trying their best to use what they had laying around, or what they found on popular internet sites for how to upcycle old objects that they couldn’t use anymore. You can buy pallets and use them to create a plethora of things– from herb garden walls to tables and even headboards, the opportunities are endless. And going to your local pallet supplier and buying some pallets to create things around your house is not only a creative idea but a practical idea that is more beneficial than buying mass-produced goods!

We’ve given you some reasons why we take part in pallet recycling, and a fun idea for how you can take part in it, too. Have you recycled pallets and made things from them? We would love to know! If you ever need to buy or sell pallets, Tri County Pallet has you covered.
